Q: When is the Huawei Mate20 NZTVA Craft Awards Ceremony?
A. The Craft Awards Ceremony this year are hosted by Screen Auckland and will be held on November 8.

Q: When is the Huawei Mate20 New Zealand Television Main Awards Ceremony?
A. The Huawei Mate20 NZTV Awards Ceremony 2018 will be held on November 22.



Q: How do I buy tickets?
Ticket Sales for The Huawei Mate20 New Zealand Television Awards 2018 will be to the industry until November 2018 – end date to be confirmed. As there is limited capacity at the venue, we are expecting tickets to sell out, and will be issuing tickets on a first in, first served basis. Once available, please return your completed ticketing form by the disclosed date to avoid disappointment!


Q. When does judging take place?
A. The 2018 Judging Period will begin Friday 24 August and conclude on Sunday 23 September 2018.

Q. How are the entries judged?
A. Each judge will be part of a panel of 5 judges. Each panel will judge the entries for 1-2 categories, with each member reviewing the entries and submitting their entries independently via our online judging platform, with the winner of the award based on the final scorecard collated by the judging portal.


Entries into the 2018 Huawei Mate20 NZTV Awards will be open from Monday 2 July 2018 – until Friday 10 August 2018.
The eligibility period for this years Huawei Mate20 NZ Television Awards will cover from 1 July 2017 until 30 June 2018.


Q: What happens if I am a finalist?
A: Congratulations! You will be notified before the ceremony. We will announce the Finalists at Television Craft Awards Ceremony in October 2018.

We will also request you provide up to 3 or 4 broadcast quality clips of your entry to be shown at the Awards Ceremony.

Q: Will I get a free ticket if I am a finalist?
A: Yes! In the event you are a Finalist in either the Craft or Main Awards you will receive one complimentary ticket to the NZ Television Awards Ceremony, and given first option to buy a partner ticket, before ticket sales are opened up to the industry.

Q: Will I get 2 tickets if I am a finalist in more than one category?
A: If you are a Finalist over more than one Category, only one complimentary ticket will be issued.

Q: How many complimentary tickets will we receive if we entered as a Team?
A: If a team becomes a Finalist, only two complimentary tickets will be issued.

Q: Can I give my complimentary ticket to a colleague?
A: No, unfortunately complimentary tickets are non-transferable.


Q: Will I receive a trophy?
A: All individual award winners will receive a New Zealand Television Awards trophy.
If you enter as a team only one trophy will be received as a team.

Q: How much is it to buy an additional trophy?
If you require individual trophies, these can be provided at a cost of NZD $250 + GST each.
